Team Mola: A Community Effort To Rescue Ocean Sunfish
Sun, Oct 14th, 2018
11:00 am
At the Wellfleet OysterFest, the New England Coastal Wildlife Alliance (NECWA) is teaming up with Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary to create a new community-based project called Team Mola. Molas, also known as ocean sunfish, are the heaviest bony fish in the harbor. NECWA founder and marine biologist Carol “Krill” Carson will introduce the life of this unusual looking saltwater fish and share information on the research and rescue efforts focused on this species that occur each fall and early winter along the shores of Cape Cod. Learn how you can help ocean sunfish in our Cape Cod waters by becoming a member of Team Mola. Free, no registration required.
