Info
on Computer Use at the Library The
Library provides wireless access through an open network. The Library also
has 10 computers for public use in the adult area, 4 laptops children can
use under the supervision of our Youth Services Librarian or a parent,
and two computers in the Teen Room reserved for use by teenagers.
All computers have high-speed internet access. Patrons may sign
up in person or by telephone (508-349-0310) for
30-minute time slots on five of the internet computers in the adult area. You
can sign up one day in advance. The other five computers have time limits of
15 minutes and patrons wait their turn for these computers; there is no sign
up. Patrons needing longer than 30 minutes for needs other than general email
can make special arrangements with the Library Director.
Eight of the computers are attached to a black and white laser printer
and an inkjet color printer. Printing charges are 10 cents per page. Two 15 minute
express laptops are not networked to a printer.
There
are also three computers that are used for CLAMS catalog
searching only.
