Welcome to our Fiber Arts Exhibit- digital edition.
There is an extensive history of fiber arts in Wellfleet, as indeed is true for many places with long winters. With our first Fiber Arts Exhibit we were hoping to encourage our community members to show off what they make. As for curating the show, we defined Fiber Arts as original pieces that are created through any craft or medium that makes primary use of yarn, thread, fabric or other textile materials. Participation in the show was open to everyone in the Wellfleet community.
The 6 week exhibit flew by. This digital catalog is to celebrate our first Fiber Arts show and the interesting and varied work we saw.
